Rocky Gencarelli
Insurance Consultant
Sterner Insurance Associates Inc.
Rocky was born and raised in Bethlehem, PA. He currently resides
in Bethlehem Township with his wife of four years and their Chesapeake
Bay Retriever.
Rocky is a graduate of Freedom High School. He attended West Chester
University in 1999 after receiving a baseball scholarship to pitch
for the WCU baseball team. After his freshman year Rocky transferred
to The Pennsylvania State University where he graduated with distinction
from the SMEAL College of Business with a degree in Marketing in
2002. He was a member of the Penn State Marketing Association and
Golden Key Honor Society.
After graduation Rocky spent a month in Australia hiking the Eastern
Australia coastline with two college friends only to return and
begin his professional career. In 2003 Rocky began that career with
RCN Corporation as a Direct Sales Rep. In 2006 he was promoted and
managing a sales force of 20 residential, commercial and mall kiosk
sales representatives. Rocky was able to sustain substantial year
over year revenue and sales growth with his team.
In 2008 Rocky was accepted into Lehigh University’s MBA program.
At almost the same time he was hired by Sterner Insurance to start
their Employee Services Department. Rocky is responsible for selling,
managing and consulting employee/individual health benefits packages
along with life and disability products. He was excited to begin
this new adventure with such a customer service oriented agency.
Rocky’s business values were in line with the Sterner way

In his spare time Rocky enjoys playing baseball for the Hellertown
Royals of the Blue Mountain League, golf, tennis, guitar, saxophone,
going to the beach and spending time with his wife and dog.
